After researching Hip Hop culture, I discovered a lot of negative stereotypes associated with the topic. I decided to try to overcome these perceptions and inform the audience by creating a Hip Hop starter pack which included the four main aspects of Hip-Hop: Rap, Breaking, Graffiti and DJ.

The Boombox encases all these elements as it is has a strong link to all four foundations of Hip Hop. The whole project was based around the existing

home-grown musicians Local Elements, which influenced the New Zealand aesthetic.
